Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Vancouver, British Columbia Canada is hosting the Winter Olympics 2010.This event being the 21st edition of winter games is held from 12 to 28 February 2010 which comprises of seven different games namely Curling, Ice Hockey, Luge, Bobsleigh, Skating, Biathlon and Skiing and 15 different disciplines, with a participation of around 2,500 athletes from almost 82 nations and 650 judges and umpires with eighty-four medals to be given. About 1million spectators from around the world are expected to participate in this show offering support for the athletes.

The event is going to be held for seventeen days at six different competition sites i.e., University of British Columbia Thunderbird Arena, Cypress Mountain, Whistler Sliding Centre, Vancouver Olympic/ Paralympic Centre, Richmond Olympic Oval and Whistler Olympic Park.
